1/4" plexi is fine, the thicker the plexi...the more solid the piece will be....but it will be heavy then.

btw 1sty, do you think 1/4" plexi is ok, or should i go thicker?

Is it load bearing or part of a box?
If not then its fine. 1/4 plexi is pretty strong.

im only using it as an amp window for the false floor. at some point it may have to hold some weight (if i set something on it), otherwise it will just sit there.

keep in mind that anything that touches plexi will scratch it.
