New Stereo Ordinance for Champaign County

Familia323

_______________
SO for those of you into stereos and live in Illinois around Champaign County..

A new ordinance was passed stating that if your music can be heard from 75 feet away..(however loud that is(sarcasm)) you can be ticketed up to 500 dollars....
What a joke....Another waste of time and money by the champaign county police department.

I can see it now ,someone with a done up import sitting there minding there own business ,no music on . aother person in NA auto(stock) ,stereo blasting pulls up . Whos gonna get the blame for the loud music . The guy with the done up import will . That just the way it is .

yea. . .. . last night was kinda cool i was driving down some parking lot with my music on and my bass set off someones alarm. . i was like wtf

same here-
$100 first time
$200 second time
$500 third time
$1000 etc etc etc

its stupid. if they hear you within 25 FEET after 7pm and before 7am. between 7am-7pm its ONLY 50 feet.

buncha s***. i fought my first to $50 (as its not in MY city)

what ever ..stupid cops grr if they have nothin better to do then **** em...this time next year im gonna have the whole country hearin me ....no stoppin my music..its my first love!

hahha awesome!! yeah maybe they arent filling their quota's very easily nowadays cause people r actually being good and they just needed some stupid law to write people tickets.

well i know chicago cops could care less 99% of the time unless ur just being a total asshole and annoying them they will usually let ir go but the suburb cops are the ones with nothin else to do

well i got my car now time to start gettin the subs installed again but the stock one not tooooo bad..but no comparison for what i had b4!! soon it will boom again

thats more than a real ticket like speeding and such, maybe they should care more about the REAL crimes that happen instead of stupid s*** like loud radios.

there's a movement to have the government regulate "high powered automotive speaker" sales. i forgot what organization it is, but it's picking up steam. they argue that it's loud past reasonably loud. their flagship case is a kid. this kid has a reaction to the bass that comes out of car audio subs. anytime he hears that SPECIFIC bass, he gets seisurs. on top of that the family lives on the corner of a busy street. so apparently in one friday night, the kid has like 12 seizurs or something like that. oh and the other bledgoning (sp?) force behind this movement is, you'll never guess, seniors. yes senior citizens, aka old people. oh oh oh, you would NEVER guess that this movement started in, of all places, the retirement capital of the United States of America, the great state of............... FLORIDA.

oh btw, doctors have announced the addition of a new disease to the list. i forgot what it's called but it's like an addiction, an addiction to bass. some people even suffer through withdrawal if they don't hear loud bass for long periods of time.

there's some twisted stuff out there.

haha interesting... Im sure 5 years from now, huge ordinances will be placed everywhere dropping sales of car stereos to almost nothing... Awesome.. thank you bastards of the world (sarcastic)
