New springs and tires!

2011 Mazda 2
So I can say that I had a very productive Memorial weekend. I finally got some new tires after 40k on the stock ones and decided to get Yoko s.drives and finally put some Eibachs on Clifford. I was VERY close to trading him in for a Focus ST but the thought of a payment again swayed me against it. Here he is in all his glory!!! I didn't get a chance to take pictures before the new tires were installed.

So far I'm very happy with how it drives. I don't notice much more road noise or vibration from stock.

So much better with that slight drop...I hope to follow the same Eibach path soon as well. No need for an alignment after just shocks right? Also, did you put them on yourself?

I did put them on myself. It took most of the day with a pretty big break in between. I got an alignment this morning and it seems to be a little pointed in at the top. Is that caster?

That's camber, and its a good thing if you like to go fast around corners. Unless you add camber bolts in the front, it is not adjustable. Caster is the angle of the strut to a vertical axis (i.e. custom "chopper" motorcycles have TONS of caster).

Thank you for the explanation eyeballs. That's what it has and just like you explained in "stock" form it can't be adjusted. All other measurements from the alignment were spot on.

Looks good :)

Did you wait a little to get your alignment for it to settle a bit? Did it drop more than in the picture?

I did the alignment the next morning. I'm probably going to wait a week or two at the most to be sure it has settled a bit before I try and get it aligned again.
