I got some question...I want to buy new rims with 18" x 8.5 offset 48 with 245/40/R18 tires, is it gonna be OK on my MS3?

Yeah I think those should fit with no problem. I do think that they may stick out a little bit from the wheel well.

245s on 8.5" wheels with a 48 offset will likely require fender rolling, at least in the rears. I think to be safe you should be at least 50 offset, with the stock offset of 52.5 being safest (although good luck finding that in an aftermarket wheel.

I think the widest anyone has put on an MS3 so far is 8" wheels, so I am not sure what issues an 8.5" may cause.

oh,,,,man..Im kind of worry...is it gonna be expensive for rolling fander?

i was thinking to go with 18" x 8.5 offset 48. with 245/40/r18 RT-615 tire.
are there something better than that?

Got the wheels today. Here are some pics. Cant wait to get them on the ride, Hopefully Saturday. I will get some good car shots on Sat. also. Sorry for the blurry pics the digital is broken and the cell cam is kind of bad.

I think you should go with an offset of at least 50. 50 may still rub but it will likely be only on the side wall of the tire. I think with a 48 offset you will be rubbing for sure.

Fender rolling is not expensive, it is just something that people generally try to avoid. It is not complex or hard, the biggest danger is cracking the paint on the edge of the fender if the paint is not warmed up. There are special tools avail for rent that make it easy, you can find them on ebay, or find a local shop that will do it.
