New pictures of the protege

Ok...My honest opinion is the car looks great...Paint is nice and a nice two tone sceme going on..

But I would hit some 18's on wheels, drop it like it hawt, and put some smoked headlights in....I might also do some yellow paint accents inside...done by a professional of course...to hop up the inside.

Other than that...It looks good...great fitment on the kit.

W3RD! i agree with this 100%

The MB front end is a lip that mounts high.

as for the 18s...well i don't think so...the 17s rub on the back. Not to metion the loss of ride quality. (the car is driven ALOT! it has 89000+ miles on it)

As for painting the interior...I personally don't like a painted interior. Not to mention it destracts judges in SoundQ competitions...needs to stay nice and simple.
I am thinking about some black leather seats though.

Thanks for the complements.

fogs are in the garage...just havn't had a chance to mount them...had one broken and just got the new ones

So I'm guessing that you ordered a pair of new ones, right, so are you selling the 3rd?

I bought used ones off the forum (thanks Bijou-MP5) and yes I have a spare, but im gonna keep the spare foglight.

Corwin I was thinking about that...but like I said im still not sure if I want to smoke the tails or not (dunno). Im gonna let it be for now...well except put the foglights in tonight. But well see.

Have fun keeping that black shiny...I know I do!!! :)

at least he only has a black strip to keep clean....washing my black mica is like shoveling during a snow storm.... (argh)

LOL yup! I really, really wanted the black and now that I have it I scarcely want to drive it in the rain (yupnope)

There is no need for any performance from this car. I drive it for work and to audio competitions...when i wanna go fast I get out the big boys i keep in the garage.

Don't get me wrong...a turbo would be fun, and when this motor dies i probably will build up a beefier force inducted motor. For now, with the weight of the stereo in this thing, id just be throwing money out the window.

To give you an idea of what kind of weight is in this car there is about 400lbs of dynamat in the doors hatch and floorboard. The 15 weighs in at a meager 75lbs, each ten in the door is about 5lbs a peice and all the amps together weigh about 70lbs. Plus the processors, batteries, wood and fiberglass that you don't see. Not to mention putting me in the car weighing in at a pleasently plump 315lbs. The rear springs have rubber spacers in them now to get the car to sit somewhat level (havent had time to get custom springs made yet.) and the 17" wheels still rub if I hit a heafty bump. to put it simply...she's a pig. BUT GOD I LOVE HER

speaking of the black its been raining here since the day after I got my car back...hmm nice water spots. Fl sucks in the summer
