Went up to Petite Jean yesterday and Joe got some pretty good pictures. I'm planning on painting the stock wheels a high gloss black most likely, just have to find a time and place to do it. I need to get at them a little in PS but I haven't downloaded it yet on the laptop.

*I just noticed that all the pictures I like are of the right side of my car, lol.

You mean the left side, everything automotive related is referenced from the driver seat. The drivers side would hence be the left side.

NINJA: shots look good. you paint the grille yourself?

lol. I guess I didn't think about that, I was thinking from photographer's POV.

Did the grill myself, it needs to be touched up... The tape lifted a little so I need to straighten in out, but you have to be extremely close to notice.

Can you elaborate please? Did you apply a vinyl film to get it black?

You just have to tape around the edge of the grill perforation area with some sort of tape (i used painetrs tape i had lying around) and some newspaper to cover the rest of the bumper. Eassiest to do if you remove the front bumper to do it and tape it off.

So you mask, sand, prime, paint, clear?

dont paint the wheels black =(, the stock ones just weren't made to be black in my opinion!

Yeah, I've toyed with the idea of like gunmetal or DARK charcoal. I'm hopefully getting some real wheels and adding a little color to the mix soon.

wait it out an go with new wheels, some lighter wheels. stocks are sooo heavyyyyy. you will love the difference. wheels were the first thing that went on the car hah.
