New pics as promised...

To each their own. Too many stickers for me. In any case, do what you want with the car. I've seen track cars win some shows as well. It just comes down to how clean your overall car is and the attention to detail. Other than that the car looks good. If you're upgrading the exhaust parts..get them ceramic coated...car will run cooler, and it will also cool down faster and no need to polish it for shows. Just wipe it down.

what have u done ..:(. i mean ur car looks really clean but i just dont like the interior at all. I wont comment on the decals since u said they werent perminent. when did u order and install ur fmic ?

If this is the look you're after, a new set of wheels will get you there in a hurry. all the decals look kinda out of place with the stock RH's in my oppinion. Car is lookin good though, I admire your dedication to it. Good luck!

Decals DO RUIN your car, so I wont be keeping alot of them, but I will keep a few.

Are you going by experience with this comment? Because I have never had any problems.. below is a (somewhat outdated) pic of my previous car, which had those decals pictured on it for nearly 3 years (as a promo for my previous website), and when those decals came off, everything was fine.. no sun fade, no problems with clear coat, no problems what-so-ever with the paint. In due time, the vinyl itself did start to wear down and need to be replaced.

Unless it depends on the brand/type of vinyl used. My graphics were put on by Speedesign Custom Graphics, the one you see in all the import magazines and sponsors some of the worlds fastest import drag racers.

PS: For your look, you should consider putting up a net as the drivers side window, and putting a decal of your lastname on the reardoor drivers side window.. I think it will go with your touring car/SCCA theme. Props on your car!

I thought these were going to be pictures of you with the car what a dissapointment. I am not going to say anything about your car , becuase you could probably kick my ass. But overall I like it minus the obvious bits that have been stated.

Stickers or no stickers, your car is faster than mine. I have to give you props on the how good it looks. Too bad I missed HIN, I heard a lot of people from the NC area that are on the forum were there. Maybe next year..

..."2 hour install with no cutting required"...

Who ever said 2 hours? No way to do all that stuff in 2 hours, unless you had a small army helping you.:) I have always said 6 hours or more in all my posts about the FMIC install... sorry that you were misled into thinking that it would be easier.

About the cutting though, Mike told me that he just wanted to make some extra room since you have stock motor mounts, and that it would have been a tight fit with no cutting. Mine went on with only cutting the flimsy plastic splash guard under the car on the passenger side, and I know that Andy's 03.5 went together with no cutting too. I am also pretty sure that LBM Turbo's kit went in with no cutting as well.

Not sure why it was different for your's, did you guys tighten the clamps on the IC piping as you went, or did you put all of the piping together with them loose, make adjustments, and THEN tighten ALL of the couplers down? If you did it the second way then you should have been able to get the pipes positioned so there was no need for any cutting in the foglight area, but I guess in the end it doesn't really matter because the kit is on your car and it looks GREAT.(thumb)

Too many questions....

Ok, one, yes, the install sucked. Two, most of the huge decals are now off the car. Three, on another car I used to own, the decals left lighter paint under them and could not be totally buffed out. Looked like a slight siloutte underneath. Of course, it wasnt obvious to everyone else, but I notice EVERYTHING, so it bothered me. And YES, THE INSTALL TOOK FOR DAMN EVER WITHOUT INSTRUCTIONS! Not that your how-to didnt help, but it didnt tell us EVERYTHING that it needed to. Good initiative, bad judgement. (jk)

And yup, when we move to Florida I'm either going to be a part of the Dept of Corrections and work at a prison or local sheriff's office. Not sure yet. And I promised my kid that we were going to take up Tae-Kwon-Do together. Lifting weights is not getting me where I want to be. It bulks me up, but doesnt help me to slim down or get good muscle definition. I think martial arts will help alot with that. So that way, I can continue to kick ass and layith the smack down. I've been lucky so far by not getting my ass kicked by talking people down or not having bullet holes like swiss cheese like the cartoons. lol The only injuries I've gotten in the past have been a dislocated shoulder and broken nose. So I'm happy.

20 reps, 4 sets... really low weight. then you won't bulk up. protein is also good for gaining lean mass and you also need to do about 30+ miles of running a month otherwise you won't see benefits.

damn u sit pretty close up to the steering wheel..judging by how far ur seat is pulled up :D looks nice tho

yes, that was me. i did the national car shows up and down the east coast with that thing.. no offense taken-- everyone has their own opinions. the car definately got us the exposure we needed. partnerships with NIRA, IDRC, HIN, etc.

I'm only 5'4", The seat WILL go further up than it already is. But it's pretty damn close to NOT going that much further up. lol

And because of alot of injuries in the Marine Corps, I can no longer run the 3-5 miles a day I used to. I have more flexibility and strength than I have cardio or endurance. I've always been a great sprinter. But I still do about a mile on the stair master, although running on a treadmill doesnt do squat and hurts my back. But the stair master helps build my legs and glutes (which at least doesnt keep slapping me in my back like it did on the treadmill). lol

Anyhow, here is the car with MOST of the decals off:

Meh, I still don't like decals when you're not actually sponsored by the people. Doesn't make any sense to me. But whateva, car still looks good.
