2007 Mazda5 Touring
My wife and I are slated to pick up our 2007 Strato Blue Mazda5 Touring tonight. We are excited about this vehicle and think it fits well into our life stage (one newborn and a small dog).

I've lurked on this site for a while and am excited about the other enthusiasts here. We are turning in a Mercury Mountaineer, but prior to that I owned a VW Jetta VR6 and had placed a deposit on a RX-8, but ended up with a Tribute instead.

Either way, I'll be frequenting this site often, and will defintely get some pics up of the new ride asap.

Congrats, enjoy, and welcome! This car is awesome, youll love it. Ive had mine for about 4 months and to this very day friends and coworkers are very curious and interested in it.

The deal is done. Last night, we picked up our 2007 Starto Blue Mazda 5 Touring. Only additional options were all-weather mats, autodim compass mirror, and tinted windows (was already optioned like this, those were not our choices). I absolutely LOVE the car/space wagon/van/crossover/hatch!

A few minor things I'll have to learn to deal with is no automatic light that comes on when you open the liftgate and space between the lower IP trim and brake pedal is smaller than I'm use to and it takes a bit of maneuvering to get my foot on the accelerator pedal.

Check the right side of the cargo compartment. There's a (way too) small light that has a switch. Switch it on, and it'll turn on/off with the liftgate...

Thank you! I assumed this was a manual turn it ON/OFF yourself switch.

My wife and I just picked up our 06 on Friday. We got a $3,000 rebate and it a touring model with navigation and auto as the only options. I really wanted the DVD player for road trips with out almost 5 yr old daughter, and 16mo old son, but oh well. I really like even when compared to our 03 Maxima we had before it, the sliding doors make it so easy to get the kids in and out. My main complaint was the steering wheel buttons have to really pushed hard for them to work, thats really it. Its Brilliant Black/ I detail cars on the side and have been doing it since I was 17 so this color is no problem for me.

God I envy you, I had a black Mustang GT in college and would have to sometimes wash it twice a day so my wife swore I would never be able to get another black vehicle. From now on it is either silver or some other color that doesn't show dirt or road grime. Oh well.
