new ms3 owner - and random/cool facts!

werd,,

Can't wait to start modding the car. but, that will be a while. I am thinking that I need to break it in at least 1,000 miles before any upgrades....... probably even 3,000 miles to play it safe. what do u think...... do you believe in breaking in the engine?.?.

tint is always a quick option though. ;] Has anyone here done any non-typical tint... meaning not just street legal black,,,,,,,, but maybe a silver fading tint, something w/ color,, logos,,, anything crazy like that?

ms3 ftw!.!.

Yeah, you should wait at least 600 miles. I think thats what the manual says the break in is for this engine. Well, depends on what you're modding I suppose. Mods for the lighting don't matter for example.

Don't mod it too much, these engines like to throw rods with too many mods.

k guys here are some photos, also posted them in the ms3 appearance forum but whatever, hehe. very sunny out so these came out sorta bright.

Sweet pics man. Tint would be cheap and quick to start off with. Some of the first things I did to my car were asthetic things. Tint, Yellow fogs, painted calipers. Changed out the rear motormount with some CS inserts (good for 6 months) Then I put a Forge bypass valve on at 800 miles and a Cobb intake at 1100.

nice list.

who do u get to paint the calipers?.?. I am slightly concerned about someone taking my brakes off of the car, when their forte might be paint-work, and not mechanical work. then again maybe all u need to do is take off the wheel and the caliper stays attached to the inner wheel whatchamacalit?

any suggestions on paint color which would compliment a metro gray ms3?

thankee!

I didn't take my brakes off to do it. Go to autozone and get this stuff:
