new motor

MrTea said:
when we did my motor, it was more getting throughout the rev range. biggest thing was staying out of cruise control (which is hard when your shop is 400 miles away) so the rings get a good range of abuse. agreed, the oil in the beginning should be changed out fairly easy, 3-5k is up to debate, just feel it out.
Dont know if this helps, but when I got my oil changed last time, the mazda tech said it was good that I was changing oil every 3K - 3500 miles. He said that he has heard of a few Speed 6 that had to get the motors replaced only for the fact that oil went bad and wasnt doing its job. He also said that they were changing the type of oil that they were putting in the speed 6's. So I would say to change it earlier than 4K. But that is just my opinion.

You just gave yourself away dude. Foremen in manufacturing dont make 80k a year in any state of the union. How do I know?, I have been in manufacturing management since the day I got out of college. (Quite a few years ago).

I work for a Fortune 100 Company and am a Director of Quality Assurance and Warranty and guess what...I dont make 80k...a little below but I am in my forties with a BSME and 20 years experience in Quality management.

NOBODY pays a 19 year old H.S. Graduate (if you did graduate) 80k to be a Foreman. (rofl2)

Just so we dont all think you are indeed full of bull, post up a check stub with the personal info blacked out. I promise i will eat a healthy helping of crow.

i dont feel like doing the math . but 1.08 is a hell of alot less then the 65% cut ur talking about . its around 65 k a year american . mabe as low as 58 . but no 30 k a year .

ummmm, not that this is on topic at all, and i've tried to keep my posts that way....

....80k with the exchange rate you just showed is about 74k US you did say 1 = 1.08 i made that running a Chuck E Cheese when i was 22, i thought it was nice then, but taxes are a b**** (at least in the states)....but it's not crazy money.

In H.B. yes..I would say yes. Cali wages are the highest in the states other than New England.

By the way..I went to Fountain valley H.S. then Golden West and then UCLA.

Must admit...for some reason I like it better here in Florida. (friday)
Cost of living is much lower...
