So the problem is i have the memory positions on my electric driver seat and up till about a month or two ago the seat was working great no issues and then one day i got into the 9 after my wife was driving and went to move back to my memory setting but the back rest only seemed to move a little and if i kept hitting the memory button the seat would eventually move past the setting i had. If this doesnt make sense and ill try to explain a little better but if there is anyone else with this issue let me know what i can do. I took to the dealer they said they couldnt find anything wrong.

Welcome! First off, not sure if you're aware, but when the car is turned off, with the drivers door open, all you have to do is tap the memory button and the seat will go to the pre-defined position. If the car is running, and you just tap your memory button of choice, the seat will only move for as long as you hold your finger on the button. I suppose Mazda does not want you moving your seat while in motion, so they try to protect you, just like gps input lockout. If you are already aware of this: Do the power seat adjusters (vertical adjuster and horizontal adjuster) work normally? If so, then perhaps its a bad memory button and you need to replace that 3 button memory assembly on the side of the seat. Let us/me know if you already knew about the "safety" feature, and if the power adjusters (not memory) work normally.

Thanks for the reply and yes i am aware of the safty features. No, the vertical adjuster doesnt doesnt work correctly either. If i hold the button it only moves about the amount as if you just tapped the button once.

hmmm. That's weird. If you get the same response from both the memory buttons and the 2 adjusters, my money is on a bad relay. As relays are fairly inexpensive, I'd try that first, it won't hurt to try.
