One thing I've noticed is that people try and race me alot more since I bought my red six. I could be that the 6 hatch is a new, sporty, relatively expensive car, but I think it has more to do with the bright red color.

It's because society put it in peoples heads that when you see red, speed, race it, danger, blah blah blah.

ther is a reason type R GTR and TYPE S have red in them...ask a ricer and they will tell you red is the 1st fastes car and yellow is next in line. Ask around and they will say red gets more hp from the factory or something off the wall in those terms. You have to verify the red=speed with a L.E. official(sssh) whens the last time a cop pulled you over and said "the reason I stoped you sir/mam is your car is red....how fast have you been driving today? Is that type R badge and aluminum wing helping you any cause they are illegal race modifications" Evo, srt, and sti owners beware when driving thru NY cause they are giving out tickets for the wings (Obstruction of view)(eek2)

That's what I'm refering to....that is is psycoligicly in peoples heads that red is faster

uhm (uhm) , let's see, never. I think I will put some spike boxes under my car and when that freaking tropper is right behind me, say bye bye (fuoops)

exactly...why would you tell your best customers why they got pulled over before the car that speed past you. if you have a friend or relative thats a cop ask them cause as stated before it's taught but not brought up.

Good point, than I will definately not be getting my next car in red. Looks like another black car for me whatever I pick. looks really hot at night. I love the TSX in white, but scientific studies have prooven that white is the most noticeable coulour in the dark. And everyone here knows how much I hate cops. And black. SIlver aint that bad, What I like is that scratches never show or barely and when the car is dirty it still looks clean.

Disregarding aany psychological reasons, a red car, if anything, will make you much more visible. One of the reasons that I bought a Midnight Blue car, aside from really liking the color, is that the dark blue keeps you under the radar.

not bergen but close

i'm not from bergen county but i am close, westechester county ny. i just bought a 6 w/v6, 5 speed, sedan in white. it's hard to find the exact configuration you want but good luck. i think the 5 door is a great design but i've read that it has developed squeaks. i opted for the sedan, i don't haul alot of stuff that won't fit in a trunk anyway. happy hunting

Here is my gunmetal metalic grey. Love the color and every rim goes with it.

That's the only color i would get other than black. Very nice! Isn't it called something else though? Steel gray or some such?
