Just curious, to all who bought a new Mazda 5 in the Toronto area or Canada, did they wax your car before you picked up the car? I picked mine up, but was dissapointed that they did not wax the car before they gave it to me. The previous cars I bought new were always waxed.

Your car should of been waxed ... MAZDA standards.

Henika, just a word of advise also for new owners here, Be sure to wax your car immediately or at least before winter comes. This is with regards to the so called rail dust on our cars that becomes small rust dots when the dust corrodes especially for white cars. I just got mine cleaned and buffed by Ajax Mazda under warranty. This happens because they do not properly clean/wax the car when you get it.

Now I'm dissapointed because they did not wax my car. When I picked it up, it had bird crap in several places. Interior was clean, but wheels could have been cleaner. But most of all, they did not wax my car, which I thought dealers do for every new car!! I think I will write a letter to Mazda Canada.

Hey TJ, did you bought the extra paint protection, that's why the dealer cleaned and buffed it? Or is the SOP regardless you buy the extra paint protection or not?

Not the extra paint protection but the rust protection yes. I complained about the rust dots so called rail dust that turns out to be rust dust , cant take them out my self too many all over the car thats why I complained. Anyways this is after winter without waxing the car, guess the dust became rust. Not my fault but theirs so they have to buff it.
