new key remote programming with only one original key

Hey to all MAZDASPEED peps i have been reading that to program new keys to vehicle u need to have at lease 2 programmed keys ,but just to let u all know i just got a new ebay key in the mail went in the car did the programming process & in less than 2 min's new key was programmed ,taking note that i only had one original non working remote key fob ,so i went ahead and ordered a next fob from said ebay site ,no dealer visit for me ,remember u will need to get key shaft cut to match ignition cylinder.

Orly.. sorry for the thread bump LOL, just noticed it said 2011 after I posted.

What year do you have?

I need a new key but don't want to pay the dealer to program it.
