New IPOD intergration kit

Hi, I was going to have the IPOD intergaration kit installed in my 2010 6 with navigation. After speaking with the tech at the dealer I was told that with the current kit I would not get the track/artist info on my navi display. But that Mazda has just designed a new cable that would provide this function but could not give my an ETA on this new kit.
Does anyone know anything about this?
How about an aftermarket kit that would provide a full feature interface. I found one but the deal breakers was it had to disconnect the sirius input.
