I have to ask you, why exactly are you using LED for interior lighting? Those things are directional and you barely get any lighting with them.

it looks pretty (sun)

lookin good buddie. First home? Must be, I remember posting pictures of my stove in my first home too :)

I'll never complain about my neighbors being too close again...holy crap. Must be the camera angle making it look worse.

....you can't afford food? But you got some purdy lights??? Yup, you are indeed a single man

enjoy the new home

well they are directional if you get the directional version, otherwise with wide angle they light everything up evenly. i only use directional bulbs for places like the fireplace where it would be directional anyways with GU10 bulbs. also using 10W instead of 300W is also a bonus.

those $6 led bulbs are not very useful in anything other than desk lamps. the ones i have at 36LED's not 18

In Calgary alot of houses are on what is called a zero lot line, which means that the house will be offset 5-10cm (2-4inches) from the property line. Normally the house is set in the middle of the yard, but the benefit of the zero lot line is you get one usefull side yard. But regardless, lots in calgary are tiny, we are the second fastest growing city next to Las Vegas.

Those lights are nuts... I kinda like them. They don't seem very bright though.

Nice house :thumbs-up:

Yeah, I think LED's are cool and all, but it's really not very practical for room lighting. Flourescent bulbs are still more energy efficient, and would light up the space much better. But hey, whatever floats your boat.

And as far as the blue outdoor lighting goes, congratulations being the first person ever to rice out a house.

I think the lighting is an excellent means of accent lighting in the rooms. Congrats on the buy!
