New here and new to Mazda. Help if you can

Just purchased a bad ass 2005 Mazda 4 hb... Bare with me please. Can't wait to start fixing it up, but first things first.... I have some questions.

1: I don't know what the red toggle switch looking thing is that is next to the power outlet (cig lighter outlet) and I also don't know how to turn my fog lights on...

And if anyone has any suggestions as far as head units that work best and vendors for dash kits please let me know!

I also noticed in the compartment under the power outlet:cig light charger that there is an aux cord plugged Ito something but really unsure if it works or how it would work if it did.

Any help would be awesome. I look forward to learning about my car! I've been a honda girl for so long and needed a change. And I am in love with this car.

First things first, this is NOT a domestic car It's Japanese, which is why it's so much better LOL

Also, can you take some pics of what you're refering to? It sounds like what you are describing was aftermarket stuff so determining what they do would be impossible for us.

fog lights are on the same handle as the head lights (left side of wheel lever)...its farther to the inside (closer to wheel) and you twist it like you do the headlights...ps they only come on when headlights are already on.

the little plastic circle to the far left of the cigarette lighter is a light that comes on if whatever is in the passenger seat isnt heavy enough and it informs you that it is disabling the passenger airbag (put a laptop in the seat and drive and it will come on)

No. I'm guessing the owner before me had something that they used a toggle switch for because I looked at pictures online and no other mazda3 has that toggle switch there by the cig lighter. Lol. But thank you.

WhAt kind of head units to y'all recommend!? I have two kicker comps I'm putting in that I took out of my civic.

Also found an aux cord sticking out of the compartment under the cig lighter but heck if I know if it works or how it works. I'm just going to get a nice head unit. I dying without my iPhone hook up and my bass right now
