New headunit AC not blowing Cold 2011 CX9

Hi I had a new head unit recently installed the Kenwood DNX691HD, and now the AC is not blowing cold. I brought it to Pepboys and the dealership. They both ran AC tests its all good. Mazda said the AC runs though the head unit. I did some research before and found this thread

But I do not see a solution to the problem. Is there a work around I can give to the installer or do I GULP have to have the headunit removed? Other research showed a firmware update?

Did it get installed with the PAC RP4-MZ11 adapter?
