New guy needs wheels...

Hello everyone, this is my first post. Ive been reading the forums for about a month prior to my purchase and got lots of info from all your posts. I plan on upgrading the rear engine mount in the next week and getting an intake (waiting for the CPE short intake) but the first thing is i need to change the boring stock wheels.

Im looking at upgrading to 235/40/18s tires but the wheels ive seen so far dont do anything for me. A few i considered end up being to heavy...ugh!!! I do like the RX8 wheels though but weight and the fact that many others have the same wheels makes me want to be somewhat different. Ive looked in the wheels forums of members rides to see their wheels but still not finding anything i like. Any suggestions on where else to look?

Here are a few shots of my speed 3 GT plus the GTI that im selling and my other toy. I look forward to getting more info from the forums and hope to contribute something also. Thanks for the help.

IMO, there's no better-looking wheel than the RX-8. Enkei makes one that's close. RX-8s are couple o' pounds lighter than stock. I put 225/45s on mine.

have you checked out the volk ultraleggera? I havent looked into fitiment for the speed3 yet, but that is one good lookin wheel. or advan RS. cheers

keep the stock rims and paint them gunmetal or black. Will save you a shitload of money that way ;)

M Coupe is and has been my favorite BMW! Congrats!

Thanks. We used to have a 98 M3 and was at a BMW club event in 99 and saw the M coupe for the first time in person. I was blown away and said when our son goes off to college i am going to get one. So a few years ago i picked one up. Its a garage queen and only has 21k on it. Here are a few more pics for those who are interested:

i think the m coupes are the best looking cars bmw makes the z4 m coupe looks amazing

idk what it is but its like they put a hatch on a 2 seater, it looks weird but then they make the body lines like flow into each other and it...

dude im not making as sense lol but sweet ass car

As expensive as a current RX-8 owner wants to make them. Typically you can get a set in good condition (maybe some paint chips, no curbage or bends) for $400. That's just the wheels, no tires or TPMS. But again, there's no set market value for them.
