Hi everyone, I figured I would introduce myself. This is the best Mazda board I have come across so far.
My name is James, I live in Livonia MI which is a suburb of Detroit. I bought my 5 new in 2007 and we love ours. My Wife had a 2000 Mercury Villager Sport at the time and we loved the size of the 5 much better. With our two kids and side impact airbags and the sliding door (a requirement for me), it seemed like a unique choice. We get stopped in the parking lot all time with people asking questions about it.
I also have a 1995 Ford Thunderbird V8 that I have been rebuilding. It has a 4.6L V8 good for about 205HP. I also have it tuned with SCT XCAL2 hardware and in the spring will have 3.73 gears with a Mark VIII driveshaft. Of course, I have replaced just about every wear item on this car. It did high 15s at Milan Dragway this year, I am hoping for low 15s or high 14s next year.
Here are my pics:
Here is my Thunderbird..
For the Mazda, I came here looking for advice on my snow tires. So far, I have got a lot of good ideas.
Feel free to visit my website at http://www.v8thunderbird.com for more pics and info on my other cars.
