increase from 50k to 60k at no cost to rx8 owners
Hello,

Has this been approved or they are considering it? I wonder if it will affect the Canadian warranties as well. I used to have a 1990 RX7 Turbo II back in the day and it had a 6 (or 7, I don't recall which) year full bumper to bumper unlimited millage Mazda warranty. That was Canadian side, I don't know if the US had the same. It was an optinal purchase but was a Mazda warranty not after market and my dealer had thrown it in for free at the time. I recall I had the Turbo and FULL exhaust from the block to the mufflers replaced with original Mazda parts at the dealer in 1996 for free. This was after the car had been 6 years on the road. Those were the good old days.

regards

Max

If your warranty was being increased, I'm sure you'd get a letter in the mail like the rest of us.

got my warranty extension letter last week

the *powertrain* warranty (engine, transmission, differential, driveshafts) has been extended to 5 years or 60k miles, whichever comes first

the bumper-to-bumper remains 4/50k from date of purchase.

I 2nd that, Ive gotten 4 letters about it in the last 2 weeks (all to the same address all the same info...just sent 4 times by mazda) for some reason anytime Mazda (corp. or financial) send me something I get it 4 or 6 times (always, from the time I bought the car and got the credit approval letter to when i get recalls or service surveys....ect).

It also notes in the letter that if you got a extended warranty you will be credited for 1 year/12k miles.

In Canada are basic powertrain warranty is already equivalent to your new upgraded warranty. 5years/100000km
