Hey i just put an Apexi 3" exhaust on my car this past weekend and before i talk about my question i just want everyone to know it is so freaken loud..its crazy...but any ways there is one problem since i put the exhaust on. The car stalls out now and then. It stalls when i am between gears or coming to a stop in Neutral. Ok so i dont know if it is the exhasut causing the problem or something else but if anyone has any idea let me know what could be casuing my car to stall. thanks

did you disconnect the battery to reset the ECU? if not, may not be compensating for the exhaust yet...try it.

Sounds like a leak in your intercooler piping.

If you have a boost gauge or MBC check the vac lines, if one came loose it could do that (happened to me a couple of days ago)

Definitely the exhaust. Can we see pics?
theres no way the exhaust is causing his car to stall. Pics would be nice anyways, but thats not his problem.

Its something on the intake side.. blown off i/c pipe, loose vacuum lines or BPV.

When u say loud, is it deep and throaty, or somewhat raspy?? I like to know cuz i'm leaning towrad the apex as well.

If all he did was install an exhaust and the problem came up immediately afterward, I'd say this is probably what it is.

Just disconnect the battery for about 5-10 minutes while the car is cool, then reconnect it. Start the car and let it idle for a few minutes without touching the throttle.

Please post the result so we can help if that doesn't work.

I have a 3 inch down pipe , and mine is stalling the same way if im driving then throw in the clutch , the car shut s of , im gonna try and reset my battery so the ecu will be ok maybe , if not it s cause the air flow is different with that exaust

I don't understand why the exhaust would cause the car to stall. I agree with Ky has to be the intake side or loose vacuum lines or BPV.

Yup its gotta be Vacuum leak. Its leaking and not givin enough fuel. Im still trying to find mine. Just out of curiousity can a properly hooked up BOV (recurculated) still cause stalling.
