New Dyno run

Well, at a show yesterday, Forcefed and I ran our MSPS on the Dyno. This is my 3 runs, all done in 4th gear. I have the Flash, 8.5 PSI and an open air K&N. No dp on the car yet.


These pulls done on a dynojet dyno.
1st run- 171.1 WHP 179.6 ft lbs of torque
2nd run-169.4 WHP 174.9 Ft lbs of torque
3rd run-169.7 WHO 178.4 Ft lbs of torque

The curves are all jumpy a bit, but feel that my DP and a better intake will trim that out, and make it more linear. I will try to post the pic tomorrow.

what were the a/f ratio like on the wideband?

No Wideband, was roll the car on, run to redline, roll off the dyno.

I am going to the dyno sometime in november, for some testing and will have all the info with wideband o2 ect ect.

oh ok....well then id be careful driving it and pay attention to any kind of sputtering/hesitating or any gauges that u have.....happy/safe boosting

Ohhh, Its safe, I know better then to run a car until Fuel cut all the time and think it will be fine. It is monitored, and I KNOW that the car is not leaning out.

his first 3 runs were a little less then mine. He is UNFLASHED, with DP, stock airbox, and I believe he did 8-9-9 PSI runs. I dont reember his exact numbers on these 3 runs, but were less then mine.

His 4th run was done in 3rd gear, at about 13 psi he hit 189.xx WHP and 208.xx Ft LBS of torque. Ik sure he will be on tomorrow and post his exact numbahs.

This cracks me up. Everyone one cries for MSP dyno's and when one is posted, you guys ignore it.

Ill just keep my future info to myself then.

Wow! I personally think those are fantastic numbers for a near stock MSP. Looks like I do need to order a MBC! Great Jorb Boost! (yes i said "jorb" -- www.homestarruner.com)

As you can see, my best run, stock was:
143.1 WHP and 139.0 Torque-note:these were done in 3rd gear

so with the Flash, open cone K&N and 8.5 psi of boost there is an increase of 36 WHP and 40 ft lbs of torque. I REALLY cant wait to get my SRI done, and DP on.

did you goto the same dyno that you used when you were stock?, also you should have done them in 4th gear, most people get higher hp/trq numbers in 4th

I'd argue that your best run was completely stock at 142 hp and 142 torque.

The filter killed torque.

the last run with 143. whp and 139 ft lbs of torque, was with the stock airbox. No it was not the same dyno, and yes, there were different temps, but its still a general idea of the increase of power.

No, you get the most power in 3rd gear, its the closest gear to a 1:1, without going under that. This has been discussed many times, and its normally done in 3rd gear.

Fourth is supposed to be the better gear for dynos. It is the closest ratio to 1:1 there is.

But, it is "under" third.

dont mustang dynos tend to show lower numbers then what other dynos are?? you shoudla went to the same dyno and use same gear to get correct increases in hp/trq

I will be, I just got to use this dyno for free, so I did. I will be going to the Mustang dyno, hopefully november 15th. I really dont have time until then to go, and I should have my intake done by then too.
