Here is my latest mod to the MP3.. Made by Andy @ wagnermotorsports.net

custom 3" downpipe (tapers to 2.5" to meet up with my 2.5" turbo back)with electronic cutout valve. the switch will be mounted in a panel Andy made me for above my radio. I need to go out and get longer bolts before i install it tomorrow.

Its gonna sound mean(naughty)

The pics are big, so beware 56k.

This will bypass all cats, mufflers, and resonators.. **OFF ROAD USE ONLY** ;)

interesting...I have seen "physical switches" on lots of trucks and classic cars...but not electric... very cool.

first question that comes to mind...is how will that hold up to the extreme heat/heat gases when both open and closed? Is the electrical devices meant for that purpose or was this "stolen" from another application?

still....very cool stuff.

They work really well, im surprised that paul is the first one to steal my idea, i mean do it. Lots of dsm and turbo honda guys use them, and swear by them.

actually he's not..MPI Nick already had one installed on his project mazdaspeed that's getting forged internals thrown in her right now.

The valve itself seems top quality. It uses a gear driven motor and takes about 5secs to fully open or close. I open'd/closed it a few times off the car and it seems like a strong seal. It even has an o-ring(not sure of material). I could see it possibly leaking at the axis that the butterfly valve hinges on.. but no biggie. Im gonna put my other DP with Cat in it, in for emmision testing.

here is the link... http://www.dmhperformance.com/ecutout.htm
i bought the 3". I also have the steel Y piece with a manually removable plate on it. It will be in the forsale section soon.

I cant comment to much, but i will this weekend when i test it out.

Actually they sell these as kits.

About the heat..I agree with the chance of it damaggein something..but it all depends on the angle of the y pipe..and the fact that turbo cars shoots flames.

awesome..not hating...just never seen one before....I'm anxious to hear what you have to say about the performance with that thing wide open! It should be quite the ride...
