New CX7 owner here

Well, I finally pulled the trigger and traded in the MSP yesterday. Now I'm the proud owner of a 2007 CX7 Grand Touring, I think. Here's the thing, I purchased it at a Nissan dealership and it was advertised as a Grand Touring with AWD. After reading edmunds I'm a little confused. They say the GT has HID's and heated mirrors. I'm not sure I have either. The headlights have a little color to them but more halogen then HID. And how can you tell if you have heated mirrors? Is there a switch or is it automatic? I think it might be a Touring with leather, and heated seats, and power driving seat. And is there a noticable way to tell if it's AWD? I see the 4WD light when it starts up, but i think i read they all have that? maybe that's an indication?

Anyway it's a definite upgrade from the Masdaspeed Protege and I'm loving it.

If it has HID there will be a height adjustment dial beside the TCS off button. The heated mirrors run off the rear defrost button. All CX-7's in Canada have heated mirrors, I'm not sure about the US. As far as the AWD, look under the vehicle, if there is a drive shaft connecting to a rear differential than it is AWD. If there no drive shaft or rear diff. than its FWD.

Yeah, you don't have the HID's. How about the AWD? I'm not sure about US laws, but no AWD would definately get your money back if it was advertised with it.

It is definitely not a GT. They all have fog lights and body colored mirriors. (protest)

Just by looking at the seats I know you don't have a Grand Touring. You only have a Touring. GT's have a suede stripe down the center of the seats. They all came with it. Also, GT's have automatic climate control, not manual like yours and they have piano-like trim on the steering wheel and center console. Yours does not.

thanks man. i talked to the salesman that helped me out and let him know the situation. he said he was going to talk to his GM and get back to me. i still haven't heard from him. hopefully we can work this out in a civil manner. i like the CX7 and don't plan on returning it. maybe they can kick back some money or something. anyone know the difference in price between the Touring and Grand Touring? Edmunds shows a retail difference of $500 on an 07 today.

Go for the $500 or get your money back if you paid the dealer retail.

GT vs touring

I am thinking about buying a 2007 AWD Touring, leather interior with 21k miles on it. Any advice? Its listed at $18,990. they are offering good trade-in value on my explorer though. Thanks, any advice is helpful.
