New Cx5 Owner - Audio Upgrade Questions

I put those polk db351's in my bose cx-5. After about 30 minutes I removed them. While I was able to pick up on sounds I wasn't getting before or that were very low, they had a distinctly "far away" sound similar to listening to headphones without actually having them on your head. Overall sound quality took a hit for sure. Instead I replaced the middle speaker with one of those polks and put the bose back into the outer dash speakers. This way I keep the better quality overall sound as majority, but I get the higher freq sounds coming from the tweeter on the polk in the middle.

^^ good to know. I think I'm gonna try my luck with the full range speaker replacement on all three dash locations. If the highs aren't good enough, I'll rig up my own component sets using some crossovers and tweeters I have from old installs.
