2011 Mazda CX-9 GT AWD
Well....where to start!

I joined this forum many many moons ago when I had bought my 2002 Protege 5. I ended up trading that in for a 2003.5 Mazdaspeed Protege. Drove the MSP for 3yrs, and ended up trading that in for a 2006 Mazdaspeed 6, which I drove for 3yrs and traded the MS6 in on my 2009 Pontiac G8 GT.

I still own the G8, and now the wife is getting the 2011 CX-9 GT- AWD, so I am back! :p

Brilliant Black Clearcoat
Black Leather
Moonroof and Bose Audio Package
Sirius Satellite Radio (6mo free - then cancel)
Power Lift Gate

MSRP: $37985
Dealership Discount: -$2900
Mazda Incentive: -$500 and 0% for 60/mo
State Fair Discount: -$500

Final Price: $34,085

Three options I'd like to have installed are *Remote Start - $350*, *Towing Receiver Hitch - $425*, *Roof Rails - $250*. Are these options worth the price at the dealership, or should I look elsewhere?

Lastly, I have read that the *Cargo Cover - $205* will not work with the GT, why is that?

Thanks!
Ryan

Remote start: GO OEM. Its plug & play designed for the car. If you go aftermarket on this, someone will be splicing wires, tearing things apart probly the wrong way, you have some teenager working on your car, and your car could end up catching fire years down the road, I highly advise on going oem if your gonna do the remote start. Towing, you could go either way, but oem is ideal for the wiring and look of the hitch. I like the look of the oem roof rails, but they don't come with crossbars (at least they didn't last time I checked). To buy oem rails AND crossbars = big $$. You could go thule/yakima/other rails & crossbars, but I personally don't think they look as smooth as the oem. You are right about the cargo cover... ask CERIC he has the info on that. I can't remember why it doesn't fit on the GT.

Thanks, I'll see what the dealership will want to have the remote start installed prior to pickup on the 25th.

As for towing, i don't anticipate us doing that anytime soon, so maybe I'll just cross that road when the time comes.

Oh, so the $250 doesn't include cross rails, that kinda sucks. I think I'll just go without for now then unless I come across a good deal on some.

Cargo net is not supported on the electronic door lift models....GT

Thanks, but I really wasn't too interested in a cargo net ;). Now, as for Cargo Cover, I need to research this still.

That thought had crossed my mind, but, isn't power lift an optional option? or is it now a standard option on GT? (I guess if you bought an interior trim panel from a non-power liftgate, it would have the supports to hold the cargo net, but interior trim panels for liftgate are usually really crazy priced)

If you have a GT with the Moonroof & Bose Pkg or the Entertainment Pkg, it has the power lift gate as required. :|

3 days until we can pick it up, I am pretty excited even though it's gonna be the wifes vehicle!

Tell her it's hard to handle in the snow and it could be yours all winter! (wink)

Then she'd have to drive my G8 in the snow, and I'd rather not have that :). Although the G8 is a beast in the snow....no issues in 2 winters so far.
