New clutch and it doesn't look right

:
2002 Mazda P5, stock
I just installed a new stock clutch in my P5 while I had the trans out. The old one was pretty burnt from driving all the way home in 4th gear. Anyhow, I have it all buttoned, the clutch disc is in the right direction but the diaphragm fingers are flat. I am used to them being slightly out. Is this normal for the P5? Here are some pics to explain what I am seeing.

I'm pretty sure mine was just like that, they'll point out as the clutch disk wears out. You'll also notice that the release fork sits almost as far out as it can physically be, that's normal too :)

I didn't want to get it all back together and find out something is wrong and the clutch won't release. Thanks for the input.

It is a Sachs. Nothing fancy just a stock replacement. I need to get it back on the road and couldn't afford $300 or $400 for just a clutch. With shift fork, nuts, clutch, gear oil and the little plastic oil passage I have about $300 in it plus what ever my time is worth. I also learned a bit about how this trans works.

Well I finally got the trans back together and installed and the good news is the clutch works fine and so does the trans. The pedal feels really low so I need to adjust something I think the pedal has adjustments.

Awesome!

There's an adjustment bolt for setting the free play and the clutch engagement is set using the rod coming out of the clutch master cylinder (see the service manual for pictures). It's the most annoying thing to adjust so get it right the first time or your back will be sorry :P

Thanks I will look into it this weekend. My ABS light came on during the test drive so I have to figure out what I did. I had to remove both sensors from the spindle to get the shafts out. I am hoping I didn't damage them cause they ain't cheap.

Is there a way to read ABS codes without a scanner? I don't think my scan tool reads ABS.

Yup, it's pretty fun. You short a specific pin of the "Diagnostic" connector in the engine bay to ground, then the ABS warning light will blink out a code. It's all detailed in the service manual.
