New car with black interior and yellow lab...help?

Wondering how to avoid cleaning my black cloth interior after every trip with my yellow lab. One thought was to put my dog in cargo area but would need something to block her back there. A cargo protector of some sort. Anyone have an idea?

The other thread I read showed a nice Hammock rear seat cover which looks very promising (Kurgo Wander Hammock).

Alternatively, I could put coverking seat covers back there. Anyone have an opinion on the best way to go?

Thanks!

Short of using the roof racks, or shaving the lab, just comb the pup before the ride, and use seat covers.
And no ice cream for her til she gets home!

I have a 1 year old black lab, everytime he gets in my CX5 i put a really large blanket on top of the back seats.
My CX5 has the black interior and i can see all of his black fur everywhere. The blanket does the job.

I have a red/brown show lab mix and I just put the rear seat down now. I usual don't even use a blanket because I vacuum at least once per two weeks

I have a mostly white Catahoula. Sheds like there's no tomorrow.
We drape a blanket over the back (facing the lift gate) of the second row seat, a blanket on the floor of the cargo area (haven't picked up a tray yet), and place her in the back cargo area. I'm not going to make any assumptions about the situation, but perhaps a little training is due? My dog will obey a stay command sitting in the cargo area. She doesn't like it, and wants to climb over, but will obediently resist the temptation, even becoming complacent over long travels/durations.

We took a road trip last October to Arkansas. For this, we allowed her to stay in the actual back seat itself. I covered everything with blankets and towels. In my experience, it is inevitable to avoid clean up with an animal with fur. Even with the blankets, after the weekend road trip, there was still plenty of fur to clean up. A barrier does help significantly, though.

I also shave my animal in the summer. Helps TREMENDOUSLY.

Covering the back seat is an absolute necessity... doesn't make much difference whether you use a blanket or a fancy hammock. I take my Bernese Mountain Dog (100lbs and -massive- amounts of fur) with me everywhere he's allowed, and though he stays in back with a blanket down, I still find a mess of fur even on my dashboard after a week or two. My best advice is to invest in a very powerful shop vac.
