New Boost Tubes Installed

Hey Cook, I was replacing my intercooler on my spd3, and I did notice in dramatic fashion that clamps were not nearly as tight as my experience expected. Maybe they were within spec but? also my boost diverting valve hardware seemed loose to me . Well the car ran much better. But the tubes will expand and create volume differences as is my understanding. Maybe i am overeaching but I will get something stronger. Good to hear about improvement!

the expanding and collapsing is where you get boost spikes and booost loss. plus a few other things but youll notcie a smoother and steadier boost with new boost tubes. some 4 ply which will be more than enough for these turbos.

I can understand the tubes are stronger, I just don't think with how little tube we actually have it makes all the difference. Clamps seem to make the difference. For example, with my old Evo the tubes under boost never expanded under boost. They were much longer than the MS3. Replaced the worm clamps and boost response, etc was much improved.

On the subject of clamps, why did Mazda think it was a good idea to glue the clamps to the hoses? (yupnope)
