New 2023 Mazda3 Owner with a question!

Hi everyone, I'm a proud new owner of a '23 3 and so far delighted! I had one question, if one of the experts could help me please? when I turn the radio off by pushing the power button on the console before shutting the car down, the radio turns on immediately when i start the car. Is there some technique to keeping the radio off until I turn it on?

I have a button for muting the radio, and I believe it stays muted even after I restart the car.

I asked the dealer about this on my 2023 Mazda 3. I was told that it was a "time saving feature" to save having to turn the radio on when you start driving and muting was the only option. I was also told there might be a change for this in an upcoming software update.
