New 2008 MS3 Owner...

Just got my '08 Mazdaspeed 3 a few weeks ago (found it used with 10,000 mi from a dealer), and this will be my first car that doesn't involve the words "toyota" or "corolla".

Everything is stock with the exception of a COBB cold-air intake, along with the Mazda emblems on the front and back being painted black.

First step was probably going to be a turbo timer, and I was wondering if anyone had any advice/experience on what type I should get. Also any advice on your suggestion for a first mod/upgrade would be welcomed. Thanks for the help and I look forward to hanging around here.

Personally I skipped the turbo timer, just drive easy the last couple of miles and it will be cool enough to shut down. Turbo timer has to splice into several wires, leaving potetial warranty issues with the dealer. They love to blame anything they can for their poor diagnostic skills.

Congrats on the new ride! Its a fun car. As said above, you could probably spend your money on better things than a TT right away. If you think you won't have the patience to give the turbo time to cool down then it may be a safe bet for you. Good luck!

As other said before, the turbo timer is not a must have by any means, and your intake is a short ram style (not cold air) just FYI. Hope you like you new car, definetly a big upgrade from the corolla!

congrats. yep. i havent and doubt i will pull the trigger on a TT.

let the car sit for 30secs to 1.5 mins to cool before turning off
