btw mel, what do you think the chances are that if I continue spamming them with e-mail they will eventually pay for my lip? Im sure they have massive insurance for parking all those expensive cars, whats 500 bucks? :D

Did you by any chance read the disclaimer on the back of your ticket?
I curious to know if this covers this incident or not:
"The holder assumes all risk and danger incidental to the sport of racing, whether occuring prior to, during, or subsequent to the actual race including specifically but not limited to the danger of being injured by car parts or tires and agrees athat LRP, the participating clubs and drivers and other individuals are not liable from injuries from such causes. This ticket is sold by LRP or authorized outlet. Any person buying tickets except from sources does so at their own risk."

If I were you, I'd email the General Manager or the Track Sales Manager. Email listings can be found here: http://www.limerock.com/about_staff.htm

Good Luck.

sorry to hear this.......least you can drive. how is the car running???

it's running about 90%, i've got to much fuel coming out of idle and the turbo module comes on a bit to soon, right before i get into boost...so i'm dumping some fuel i don;t need to and i get a short "bog" before acceleration...it's really cool though, the car is not the same, at all!:D

Dear Chris,

Im sorry to learn that your car was damaged during your visit to Lime Rock Park; clearly youve devoted a lot of time and effort into personalizing your car.

Which makes even more regretful that I must inform you that parking at Lime Rock Park is strictly at the car owners risk. Im sure this isnt the response you were hoping for, but it is our policy.

Kind regards,

Dear Chris,

Im sorry to learn that your grocery-getter was damaged during your visit to Lime Rock Park; clearly youve devoted a lot of time and effort into personalizing your sorry excuse for a race car.

Which makes even more regretful that I must inform you that parking at Lime Rock Park is strictly at the car owners risk. Im sure this isnt the response you were hoping for, but it is our policy. Had you owned a $300,000+ race car would be more inclined to submit to your request.

Kind regards,

I'm sorry Lime Rock couldn't help you out. I wish I could have done something but I'm more or less "Event" staff working Registration for the drivers and crew.

For Ferrari Racing Days we had people with 50k+ cars park out in Light's Field, walk to the ticket booth, then through the gates into the track. They were pretty pissed off and I'm sure Lime Rock fielded more than a few calls from angry customers. Hopefully, the policies will chance in the near future and/or "Harry" Potter, the General Manager will exit and we can get someone in there that actually knows what he or she is doing to improve things.
