NEPOC Event: Meet/Dyno-Day 6/4/2005 OFFICIAL.

Well, I'm kinda bummed, I was hoping to hang out, but I guess it's ok, I have to start packing cause we're going to be moving soon. But if anything is going down, I'm game.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Yes, just saw the thread. Wanted to get some last minute news/directions before my bro and I headed out tomorrow morning. Well, probably not going to make it if there is no dyno. No offense all those involved, for sure! But that was my main motivation for driving 2 hours. Well it is what it is.

Just as an FYI, I saw someone mention NEDragway...Its CLOSED this weekend for track resurfacing. But the next Import Wars is Saturday, June 18th and I might be there if anyone else from here is going.

Also, we 6 owners are holding a mini meet in Hopkington, MA. on June 26th if you guys want to come. We're holding it there so our CT brethren don't have to drive too far north. Details here: http://forum.mazda6club.com/index.php?showtopic=34438

Thanks again for the invite Slug.

Sunday, 5th is a MaPoc (Mass. probes) meet at Bristol.

man this sux ass hmmmmmmm i like chris's ideas, im all for just hanging out, if we meet off the exit like chris said, and we get a good turnout, then we can figure it out from there, we have to adapt, and over come, i know it sux that the dyno fell thru, but we all had plans to do a meet, so i say we still do it reguardless. i vote on chris's idea, but we need to decide fast.

this was just posted on www.probetalk.com by bristol dyno

If people are being added to the list, we should plan on starting pretty early - what time were you guys planning on?

The prices quoted above are correct: $50 for people that want to do just baseline runs and spend less than 15 - 20 minutes running on the rollers. $75 for people that want to do some tuning and spend more time on the dyno. It's $75 for the first hour and $50 for every additional hour.

There is a grill here if people want to bring their own food.

I just spoke to the guy organizing the Mazda meet, and I told him that I have a good chunk of time available on Saturday. He said that he will be contacting members and asking if they want to come on Saturday or after the Probes on Sunday.

(stoned) <----I LOVE THIS ONE!!!!!

Ok guys, I've been sitting back and waiting on some decision. The way I see it is:

1) We have an alternate dyno location in bristol. The owner has already verified that he has saturday open or we can combine with the probes on sunday ( going in second to them). He has a grill if we provide the eats. Those who have hotel reservations should find this acceptable as it's not too far away.

2) We meet somewhere off the highway, go on a few twisty runs and decide wether we're going to a park or someone's place for a cookout, depending on how many come. Some who were coming specifically for a dyno may cancel on this.

3) We cancel the whole thing.

Now someone's got to make a call on this one way or the other...

john from the dyno place called me back. more expensive than the other place and it would have to be done over two days, sat and sunday (with ford group). he was nice and pretty much anyone is allowed to go on both days if they want.

just wanted to inform everyone on this.......

dum dum dummmmm

I say we do the cruise/hang out dealy, and if anyone wants to dyno we can plan at the bbq/cruise part to go together to the probe one on Sunday.

Hopefully we will have a bunch of cars, I lvoe cruisin around in a big line. Theres a few spots along the way we can stop to take pics and/or stretch legs etc. Could be a good time.

whaddya say?

bro so do i, but i dont wanna crash the fords dyno day, with 30 of us, lol they allready said if we/ford wanted to dyno it would have to be two days, i know i not gonna show up sun, i have a honda meet to attend.

There isn't 30 of us that will be there anyways. I say go to bristol dyno tommorow. If all else fails we can do a bbq there or go someplace nearby and bbq. Either way, I am dynoing the car tommorow.

bro did you see the list?????? there is about 19 that wanna dybo, and 15 for the meet im no math-a-maticion, but thats 34 cars.

thats another idea.....Whoever wants to dyno shows up at bristol place in east hartford tomm, others go on cruise and wind up around noon timeish or shortly thereafter at bristol dyno then depending on what everyone wants to do and numbers we go get pizza somewhere or head down to my place (like 20 mins from east hartford) and hang out there.

im up for anything.

ehawley isn't dynoing, his car doesn't have an engine,
tyusha's car is down, more than likely won't be dynoing
naviles rx-8 said he wasn't dynoing,
Plus there are always a few that just don't show up.

I say max we would have is like 12 to dyno. Who cares how many show up just to meet? We can all still meet there.
