I know some here aren't big fans of neon undercar kits, but I've been thinking of putting one on my car, and was looking for some feedback on what brand to go with. I am thinking either Eurolite or Street Glow (Gold Series). Who has what, and what brand would be best?

I currently have the Low Glow brand. Good quality and they are some of the brighter tubes you can buy, plus they have a lifetime warrenty on the tubes not to fade or burn out.

i had the eurolite tubes and loved them!!!

it was the elite series and instalation couln't have been easier, they had a nice even shine and still turn on like i bought them last year

they sell for about 200 bucks, but apperently some shops sell them at 90 bucks, look around

I love my Optx Multicolor LED kit until I broke em driving in the snow, lowered, and decided not to take them off.

I had some cheap ebay ones, but they broke. Just remember that it is a pain when you get your tires rotated or get your car up on a lift, cause you dont want those bulbs to crack. And watch out for things on the road too, they can shatter tubes like no ones business.

The optx led kit is pretty durable until I decide to drive into ice... plus it doesn't help when ur car is lowered. If you do get lights, do not mount the side ones on the side skirt like I did, I was lazy and did it the fast and easy way and everytime I walked away to look at it, I saw the led bulbs and that part of it didn't look pretty.

Sill have Eurolite kit on my P5 after 3 years. No problems, other than I had 2 tubes replaced because I hit them on speedbumps.

currently running eurolite 9000 series... mad brightness and happy overall... good in summer/winter for almost 2 yrs ...

I have Street Glow Gold Series on my Pro love it just don't get Blueline Series sux but Lite Glow makes a kit that is good too. I just like Streetglow

i've had several cars with neon and leds and i prefer the neon. the leds aren't as bright and they have a much more defined light pattern. they also have this goofy box that is fumbly and hard to turn off. controls the leds into preset patterns. i like neon because it disperses better under the car. it's brighter as well. i've had red neons on my mazda for about 8 months and not once have i ever seen the reflection of the light in a passing car or a barrier on the highway. with the neons i had on my previous car i could always see the light reflecting off of objects. if i were you i would go with the street glow gold series because of the warranty they come with. i wouldn't cheap out on them because i guarantee that you will have some sort of problem with the starter/transformer. mine burned out several times over the 3 years i had them on the car and i never had a problem getting it replaced.

I got some APC from Kregan Auto parts. THEY Suck, I put them on X-mas day and have had to replace all 4 tubes. If one more goes out, I'll ask for a refund. Deffently do the research on what brand to buy. Good Luck.

Hey, how about some pictures of how people attached the neons/LEDS to the sides of thier cars?

I't very easy, most kits come with self tapping screws, just jack the car up and center then on the underneath, thread the wire throw some of the holes on the bottom of your car that will come through on your top door cels, ckech the "How to" section, I'm sure someone took pics & had done a good write up on installing them, sorry, I didn't think about it till after I installed them on, I was tooo excited when I got them, I could wait to see what it looks like. Good luck

Yea i had em, i suggest only getting LED... any mainstream brand is fine. Liteglow is also a good brand that wasnt mentioned. LEDs break less and are much brighter, Ive had them fall off the car, tap speed bumps and still make it. They got really annoying as much as i work on my car because getting it on a lift is pretty much impossible and there are no good mount points for the light so they stay in the way all the time also had wires falling down from time to time too. Sucked but hey whatever.
