NEMOC Random BS Thread

Totally RANDOM here... :D Getting my new wheels soooon! Hopefully this weekend! Partay~ ... k done. And yes, if anyone is wondering, I'm selling my old wheels. ;)

Once in awhile I bring it in for some quirky things that get to me.

Bad serpentine pulley tensioner was chewing up my belts. Fixed and it idles much quieter now! Was causing a squeel at start up too.

I'm having a rough start up they suggested starting with something like a seafoam before inspecting a bad injector. Injectors get carbon buildup. I have +40K on my car so its due. Could also be from the intake system + bypass valve however I've had the intake system on awhile and BPV and many others have the same set up with no issues.

Suspensions has a metal "cling" noise over sharp bumps but I went under the vehicle with the tech and we think it could be from the undercarriage skirt flapping around. I'm surprised I'm complaining about a skirt flapping around most of us enjoy that. Anyways its pretty torn up and it may be hitting the oil pan on sharp bumps.

Threw a P0300 multiple random missfire code has not returned. They couldn't find nething that may have caused that. Could have been bad gas. Could have been improperly gapped plugs which I need to check in the next coulpe of days. Nonetheless has not returned.

Car drives awesome other than the typical rattles and hauls ass... was kinda hoping they'd say my struts were shot so I could rationalize spending money on a new setup. But rather know the car is running great. And I almost walked away with the CX7 keys as well. Glad I didn't its kinda a long drive out there.
 
Wow Luke. Very nice. Funny thing is, I know someone on Cape that has a house almost exactly like that. I was thinking of asking to do a photoshoot in front of it. Has a white stone driveway.

i get that same random squeek thing over bumps as well....dude...sreiously....if you find out what it is let me know. i thought it might have been the breaks or something and was going under it this weekend to look around. im also getting what sounds like a light clunk over bumps now. different noise though. sounds like my struts but im not entirely sure...it may rationalize me buying new struts as well. lol. my plugs threw a random misfire and i just bought a set of denso's to fix it because i as well have 40+ and am due. funny....the two red ms3's with the exact same problems. i thought i heard my belt tensioner the other month but it sort of went away and my belt looked alright so im going to hang out and wait on that one. my car isnt under warranty either so its all me if its s***.

BTW....you want to come to epping with us on the 20th for import wars? anyone?
 
any of you folks know anyone selling a lower miles (under 70k) p5? A coworker is looking for one. She already has a midnight blue manual, she's looking to add another to the stable.

She has her sights set on yellow hehe.

I am pretty sure that ping over bumps is normal and just the fluid in the struts passing through it. Like a "Zinnnnk" really quick over little bumps. Mine has done it right along, not saying why I think its normal but I have heard the noise in other vehicles as well.

Yup, they will have a simialr driveway that circles around the front of the house to both garages.

ha thats funny the similar issues. the fixed tensioner pulley makes the car sound brand new. I would love to go to import wars but I have a deep sea fishing / beach / golf tourney / casino weekend planned with the fella's. Would be nice to roll up with you guys.

oh and Omar did the work. He gave me a little lecture on some of the mods but seemed more of his preference. I took him for a spin to replicate some of the noises almost invited him to a NEPOC event but I withheld.
