need some opinions

So I drilled two holes in my dash last year to install switches. One goes to interior lighting and one to my underglow. My underglow started being lame shortly after I installed it and I dont really even like it anymore. I am more than likely going to pull the lights off as soon as I get my sway bar. Then my switch will go to nothing.....anyone have some ideas? things you have done in your car??? thanks

sorry, I should have specified, thats exactly what I have the first switch controlling.

If you drilled holes in the accessory panel where the other lighting controls are, you could probably pull the switch out and replace the blank piece with a new one (if they are removable)

yeah, sometimes I regret it, but very rarely. i like having the switches visible. I just dont like the switches I have in there right now cuz the leds on them are very bright

You could put some resistors on those to dim them down a bit.

sorry, im not being a jackass. if i had to do it myself i would have done a couple of things differently i guess.
First i would have def pu them on the left side next to the dim switch.
if i had to put it on the dashboard then i would have picked a nicer switch (i like the one you show at the bottom of your post). I think a better position for them would be right above the ashtray, between the cig lighter and the air bag light. I think that there it would look better and it would merge with the blue light coming below the ashtray.
Also, i probably would have gone with a red LED so it matches the other lights. And definitely a LED that is not as bright.
but my honest opinion is that i dont like it.
it really ruins the dash for me. and those leds are definitely way too bright. Maybe they would have looked better in red as well.

So what are you going to do now that you are getting rid of those lights? You could hook them to some Angel Eyes or something. Why are there 2 switches anyway?

yeah, I know.....it is way distracting, thats why i never use them. How can I put resistors in there?? Would I put it in the positive before it gets to the switch? cuz I would think that would also dim the lights it turns on, but I am no genius so help would be appreciated

I cant do angel eyes anymore because I put my headlight protection film from rockblocker on. The left switch controls the interior lights, and the right switch controls the exterior underglow (way rice, thats why its going away. plus I got it for free). I still do not know what I am doing with the switch

How is the switch wired? Power In / Power Out / Ground?
If it's like that, the power is shared and the ground is for the LED so you put the resistor in the ground and it will dim it down.

But I still need more ideas of what to have the second switch go to! I was thinking of maybe just wiring them both to the inside lights, having one control the right and one the left, or one the front and one the back, but thats too much work for being pointless

you can have one control all the interior lights (dome and map). lol i dont know.
