So i'm pullin the badges on my 07 3 5-door...how do you get the mazda off the back, the 3 and the symbol are glued but what i've pulled the panels down and it looks like maybe a pin of some sort holding them in, how do i get it off to paint and then replace???

I believe the MAZDA emblem and the "M" are 2 sided tape and 2 pins, the 3 however is just tape. A heat gun, or blow dryer and a bondo spreader or credit card will take care of the tape, the pins can be accessed by removing the interior of the hatch. I believe the 2.3 emblems on the doors are also just tape.

the way i did it is just spray it down with goo gone let it sit for 5-10 minutes and use a bad old credit card to just push under the plastic part to remove the tape., i did that on my hatch, rear 3, side door moldings(all 4) and the 2.3 emblem on the front doors

How are you supposed to pull out the pins on the "Mazda" badge? Its not held by nuts, I'm bout to just use painters tape and tape off hatch and spray paint directly on car...

ehhhhhhhh why would you paint like that dawg....... the worst thing you can do to a car is spray paint the body straight up. if you have any mk4 jetta friends just jack the little black plug that go in the trunk on their cars and paint the plugs just look at my pictures of the plugs they are soo small and its aloooot cheaper then spray paint or fully going shaved

No. Don't use a credit card because you'll end up scratching the finish.
The best tool to use is floss. It's cloth-like, but tough enough to not break.
Take a lengthy bit of floss, fold it in half, so as to make it stronger, and start "cutting" through the adhesive of the "Mazda" emblem.
Do it on all sides. When you cut through all of it, run the floss down from the top towards the middle, and tug a bit.
With a little bit of force, the emblem will come off. No need to go behind the hatch and try to push it out.

i didnt used a "top grade" credit card it was a really bad one that was soft and didnt do much, i tried floss but it just ripped apart.

It'll only rip apart if you don't double it up.
But yeah. The card method works too. Just as long as it's not rough.
