ok heres the problem my RPM is low when the car is idle. i just got a whole tune-up and i changed the water pump since it was bad and all new belts. the first day after everything was fine and the next day my RPM dropped down between the 1 and the 0 and keeps on jumping between 1 and 0 when its idle and when i stop at the light and try and go the car just barley moves like it wants to die. the car has already died on me in the intersection 3 times.

so i changed the EGR valve and still does the same thing... so if someone can help me out me.... im ready to kill my car again......(deadhorse

sounds like you have a leak somewhere. Check your intake hose to make sure it is not cracked (common on high-mile Proteges), and check all of your vacuum lines as well. If you can't find a leak, you may want to try cleaning your throttle body and idle air control (IAC) valve, which is the thing held on top of the throttle body with 4 screws. If that doesn't work, you may also have some sort of fuel pressure problem or a malfunctioning computer.

Need a little more info - did the car idle OK before you did the tuneup? And are you showing a check engine light? Also, what is the year/model of your car?

The car idle was fine before the tune-up and no check engine light on at all.....

no not yet im real low on frog skins right now so cant do anything until i get some cash.... a friend said it might be the fuel pump so i jus gotta wait till whenever i can get some frog skins....

sounds more like a vac leak....you could have nicked one why moving s*** around.....after awhile, the lines will get brittle and if ya move them they crack easy. get a can of carb cleaner(<$2) and spray around hoses and etc and if the engine revs you found it
