Need some advice??

I want to get more room in my p5 trunk, so I want to take out my Competion Bandpass box and create a custom enclosure. Here is what I was thinking

Take out the spare replace the carpet with wood mount the sub where the spare would be, then put carpet over the entire thing, except plexi over the sub?

2 questions,

Should I be able to accomplish this with some fiberglassing?

Or should I hire someone?

Help me out fellas? And also if anyone has custom setup in the floor show me!!!

The issue with subs in a protege tire well is that there is a rather large hump in there that can not be removed. Its there to allow clereance for device that is under the car there. So anything but a shallow mount sub will require the floor to be rased rather high. Even my JL audio 8W3's with nothing in in front of it required me to raise the floor about 4 inches and that was with the subs placed to aviod hump as much as possible.

The task is doable but you need to take some time and I wouldn't bother unless you have a decent amount of tools.

It should't be that tough, but if you've never done fiberglass before be prepared to spend a long time on it
