Can anyone please verify for me that our cars have a switch of some sort that will set off the alarm if the hood is open with the alarm set?
Thanks,
Gix

he said that is the reason my alarm is going off all the time, and i said, well, the door light comes on while i am driving all the time. And he said: well, whoever put on your CF hood must have removed the sensors for the hood...we will not cover this under warranty...

take a baseball bat to his head and ask him to reconsider...

now look you got me all mad again... {rubs ears and says woooosahhhhh}

Yea that guy is full of s***. We do not have hood pins for the alarm. It's kinda dumb anyway. It's KINDA hard to open a locked hood without setting off the shock sensor.

I told the guy i think its just the door ajar sensor...he will not replace it and get it over with, because he need to see it when it happens. Of course it never happens when at the dealer thanks to Mr Murphy... Oh well, if he give me any BS i'll ask him to turn down the warranty work in writting and ask him to put down that the "hood sensors" were removed.

Thanks for the quick help guys. Just an FYI , it was Mike at Brown's Fairfax Mazda

idiot. (dark)
the dealer guy that is.
Even if there were a pin (ther isn't) it wouldn't be on the hood iself, but rather underneath it.

It's not the switch for the door ajar from what I've seen. It's the way it grounds itself. I've had to scrape the paint on a couple of them. And yes he does need to verify the complaint, thats the first step to any diagnosis.
