Need opinions, new to forum...

Hello, I am currently in the middle of deciding whether or not to purchase a 2003 MP5... I would be trading in my 2002 SiR which has two few doors and space, and too many problems!!

I have always been a Mazda man previous to the SiR, but a friend lured me over (that and the MP5 is slower...).

The real decision is not whether or not I want one (I do), it is whether or not I wish to lose out on what I have spent so far... and whether or not I want to appease my wife and get the automatic (I know, with Sport Shift).

So, do any of the auto-purchasers want to let me know why they chose the auto over a manual, and now that you have it how do you like it and have you had any problems?

Thanks a lot, and will probably be in an MP5 soon... (actually, we are probably going tomorrow to check out two dealers and what they have left in stock, and if the finance rate dropped to 0%)

i have an auto sedan...i got it cuz there were no manuals in stock in laser blue, lol

i love it to death!!!

I currently have an auto MP5 it's really not that slow but then again I did a couple mods to it already : Injen cold air intake, hks-hi power axle back exhaust and an unorthodox underdrive racing crank pulley. I really did'nt have a choice my mom bought the car for her self and did'nt like it because she said many people looked at her like she was a teenager and when they saw her driving they were like WTF? so she ended up giving the car to me, I told her before she bought the car to get stick. I got the automatic (no sport shift either!. ) which I really did'nt want or like because it takes away from the fun of driving + I had driven in manuals a lot especially my friends quick 95 GST eclipse so it changed my feel. But I have gotten use to it and in the future I plan to join pirana and turbo my MP5 auto with a hi-boost turbo kit and prob nitrous then the car will have some real "zoom" to it but that's in the future. But I suggest getting the stick, so you don't regret it later trust me :( as having problems with the auto I have'nt had any.
