I need to replace my front struts and I want a bit better than oem but a drop is not necessary. i found this on ebay.

i would surf the for sale threads for some used MS3 shocks struts, can be had for cheaper then that most with less then 5-10K on them and will perform better. thats what i did. ended up with a set with around 9k on them and spent less then 200 to get them shipped. they are stiffer then shock but nothing extreme for daily driving.
