Need help with prob. mazda cant fix or wont

What are you using to scan? I ask because you need to be sure you're viewing the proper parameter. These cars have 2 fuel pumps, 1 in the tank and 1 on the engine that's driven off the cam. The cam-driven pump at idle has a psi of about 420 or so. At wot you should be seeing 1500+.

You should really invest in a Dashhawk as it's perfect for these cars. You can choose the parameters you want to datalog and then download them to your computer and view them. They're less than $300 new and with the issues you're having would be an invaluable tool.

It can measure AFR, DI fuel pressure, boost, timing, knock retard, and a bunch more.

car isnt modded in any way just because the fact they cant fix it so that i can mod it... scan tool is a 3200 snap-on scan tool it will actially do more than mazdas scan tool will do.. it had a para. that said fuel pressure psi i clicked on it

ive found another thread on here were several people r having the same prob. detonating with no codes and it seems the tsb on the fuel pumpe fixes it so im goin to ask them to try that

Idle fuel pressure should be 430psi or so climbing over 1500 the second you step on the throttle.

Here is a datalog I did while tuning just to give you an idea. note the relative throttle position, rpm and Di fuel pressure. Up to 27 seconds into the log is part throttle, I then go WOT after that and just drop to neutral after 6k.

ignore boost and afr's at WOT since I am tuned and mine will be different than yours. your afrs will be in the low 11's, high 10's and holding about 15psi.

hope this helps

If you want me to do a stock tune log I can...

tell them to take it for a drive and have them note any irregularities, and that they turned you away. if the unthinkable happens at least you have a record to shove up their asses

got mazda corp. involved... wow its amazing what u can do with a data log full of knock retard and tellin a mazda rep that this was ur first mazda buyin experiance and they could drive their "sports car" up their ass... cause this has been the worst buying exp. ever and ive bought a bunch of cars... so now its in the shop having all th TSBs done and they r not to call me till the car is fix.... period.... so my thoughts on the whole ordeal is that i like mazda and dont care for "stealerships" at all

You should send Mazda an invoice for your lost time and frustrations for paying a monthly payment on a new car that you can't drive.

Most dealerships are like that, fortunately for me my Mazda dealership has been pretty good to deal with.
Instead of just digging into my tranny, they suggested i wait for their tech to come back from Mazda Tranny school. Go figure, either that or they are just putting off the job.
