Alright, currently I have a xovision 7" touch screen multimedia player on my 07 MS3 GT with bose. I also have a sony xplode amp pushing a pioneer 12" sub...everything else is the stock bose. I am not happy with my headunit and want back the steering wheel controls, 6 disc changer, stock look, and the LCD heads up display to be functional again. What will I need to do? I am guessing I need to take the old headunit out, then take those sub wires and pull them back to the back of the car and get one of those Line-out converters and splice my sub/amp into the rear speaker, then put the stock headunit back in? Will I have to do any type of by-pass on the stock amp or anything? I've never had to do this before, so forgive my noobness...I've only ran sub/amp to an aftermarket headunit that has had the places to directly hook up an amp. Does anyone have a picture of where exactly this adapter hooks in and how it hooks in? Is it very difficult? I am trying to do this ASAP, so please let me know. Thanks guys.

OK, So i read this thread right here and its saying that I don't need a LOC...

Would I be better off doing it this way or using a LOC? What my thinking was, if I do it this way, then I can take my RCA cables that is in the car now, cut the ends off one side (leave plugs on one end, exposed wire on the other end), then take those exposed ends and splice into the pre-amp points that Vord pointed out in that how-to? Which one would yield me better sound quality, this or the LOC? Also, will a Ground Loop Isolator be needed? If so, where exactly do you install the ground loop isolator? Please help guys, I am doing this this afternoon!
