So I have 02 protege5 . 2.0 liter..this past Sunday me engine blew.and I am in need of an engine..I live in San Antonio,tx...this is my only means of transportation...anyone know where I can buy an engine for my baby...please help..

Yes mp3 and msp both use same motor. Just make sure you swap the intake manifold

I paid $800 plus $650 install for $114k from 02 P; best I could do at the time.
Poorly maintained, lost 3 mpg, oil always looks dirty.
If u can get 626 ( I didn't know at the time it fit) even w/ more install labor, you might want to consider.

Go for a JDM FS unlike the USD one which came with 13ohp and 135 ftlbf, the JDM version comes with 170hp and 160 ftlbf which is the same as the MPS just with a smaller torque curve. Just my two cents.
