First time car buyer with jitters,
I was all set to buy a new 2010 Mazda 3 itouring with the Bose moon roof package and fog lights, when I found a small dent in the passenger door. The sales man wanted me to buy the car with the condition that they fix it to my satisfaction, but I told him I didn’t what to buy the car while it looked like that. Since then he has called to inform me that the car has been fixed and that if I come in and look at, I won’t be able to tell it was ever there.
The price seems good for the California bay area (19250+tax and DMV +450 for the fog lights). Also, there seems to be limited availability of the color I want (graphite exterior with black interior.) I only found one other one 180 miles away.
My question is, how much I should be worried about the dent repair process. I imagine they have to shove tools behind the door panels. Am I going to have door panel problem years from now? Can the paints adhesion be damaged even if it looks perfect? Am I being paranoid?
Grant me your wisdom oh great internet. (help)
