Hey people,
My name is Tony and I run a little internet sales buisiness. I have come a across a 1993 RX7 R1. It has 125K miles on the chassis and 25K miles on a rebuilt motor. The rebuild was done by MazSport. It has BOV's, a boost gauge, and oil pressure gauge, so I think it may have mods done to it. I'll be driving it later today so I'll see what it's boosting. What do they boost stock?

The body is straight with just a few little dings. It could use a good cleaner wax and the interior could use a radio. Oh yeah, it also has Supra wheels, whatever THAT'S about(smash)

So, anybody have any idea what I might be able to get out of this thing?

Get the car up to full operating temperature. Find a secluded, open section of highway. When your sure the area ahead is free of other traffic, bring it to 3k rpm in 2nd gear. Indicated oil pressure should be at least 50 psi.
Now, all at once, go to WIDE OPEN THROTTLE while watching the boost gauge. The reading should quickly go to 10 psi with no lag and you should accelerate smoothly until reaching ~4.2k rpm. There a brief transition should take place and the boost gauge should drop BRIEFLY to ~ 8 psi as the second turbo comes on line and then the gauge should again go quickly to 10 psi. It should happen fast enough that you will want to repeat this sequence to be sure it all took place. At any rate, you're now speeding, so shift to 3rd gear and slow down.
IF everything mechanically checks out, you have supporting documentation for the rebuild, the interior isn't trashed, and depending on what area of the country your in.....IMHO the car you've described might sell for 7 to 9k.

Thank you very much for the info. I was supposed to have already driven it but that got pushed back. Now I'm glad it was! Again, thank you.

I'll post again when I drive it
