Navigation Problems (06 MS6 w/ E nav DVD)

Got a 2006 Mazdaspeed6 which came with a version "0" (GP9A 66 DZ0 ) navigation DVD. I was able to buy a E version DVD but it has been far from an upgrade. The routing algorithm ignores complete sections of expressways. Resulting in 45 minute drives being given roundabout directions of ~300 miles. It directs me to go up on ramps while I'm on the expressway (yes, make a U turn on the expressway and drive up the ramp into on coming traffic). It also seems very slow to recalculate the route.

The ROM flash seemed to work fine when I first put in the disc in. I've tried resetting to default settings, and tried turning on/off use expressways. But no luck.

Any ideas / suggestions?

I have no idea.. ive had no problem with my navigation i wouldnt even change mine. Mines and 07 MS6. Whats the difference in the different versions?

The biggest benefit with the upgraded versions is that it has you input the city first, then the street, then number. This allows it to narrow down the selections much quicker so you don't have to enter full street names etc. There's also updated maps with new map data. Certain other things (buttons, etc.) are rearranged in an arguably better location.

I know version D is supposed to include the above mentioned features.
