Navigation and Bluetooth Question

Waiting for my local dealer to get the 2007,s in.
Question concerning Bluetooth and Nav.

My acura tl has an excellent Nav, and sometimes its referred to as the standard by which all Navs should live up to.
How is the Navigation on the Mazda 5? The one mention I saw of it, is that it has an awkward joystick to navigate thru the system with. Can anyone inform me.
Also, how loud is the voice on the navigation? Does it mute the radio down, when it speaks to you?

Also, Does the Mazda 5, have a bluetooth option. In My TL, when I sit in it, my cell phone stays in pocket and links up, and when I have a call or want to make a call, do it all through the speakers and automatically mutes the stereo.
We are trying to make some last minute decisions on options. We are going to go for the touring, auto, but not sure on the navi? We havent seen one in any car on the lot.
Is this a factory or dealer installed option. I hope its not a dealer installed.

Thanks and stay safe

Mazda5 nav doesn't have touchscreen, doesn't have different map viewing options, doesn't let you enter anything while the car is moving, (passengers...DUH!) and the joystick can be really akward. It's easy to skip over letters on the on screen keyboard with it. Not sure about bluetooth, mine doesn't have it, and I've never seen it as an option. The voice guidance will mute the driver side door speaker when giving directions, and the volume is adjustable and muteable. It's a factory option, and it's nicely set up, with a retractable screen in the top of the dash, and the DVD drive tucked away in the huge glovebox. The screen is tiltable as well. As far as looks, it's very well integrated into the interior.

This is a Mazda. Don't try to compare it to your Acura, because you'll be disappointed. Why not go with the MDX?

LOL
I cant afford the mdx at the moment, and this vehicle is primarily for the wife. She has a hard time, finding a vehicle that fits here correctly on the driver side. Usually she has to move the seat so far up to reach the peddles that her (assets) are in the steering wheel. LOL
She is a teacher, and needs room for bringing stuff back and forth to school, and parks in a relatively small footprint, and at a good price point.
She has decided that this car meets all her needs. We found it by mistake, when going to a dealer to like at a ford escape and the dealer also sells mazda and subaru.
So, since we have not seen a mazda5 with nav, we were asking here. From what you say, it seems more bother then its worth, since we usually know where we are going. :)
However in this modern age, bluetooth should kind of be standard, since the laws where I live, only allow hands free cell phone calling or you get a moving violation, just as bad as if you were speeding.

Stay safe

The navigation is good. Sorry if I made it sound bothersome. I guess I'm just picky. I don't like the way portables don't look like they "belong" in a car, but ar ejust kinda perched there. The nav is kind of a pricey option in the 5, 2k MSRP, 1.7k invoice. Compare that to something like the AVIC N2 that you can get for 1500 online that can be used as nav and also the hub of a nice a/v system if you have kids or are into that. Or if you like portables, there are some really nice ones out there for less than half the price.
